Established through an Act of the Parliament of India in 1985, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is one of the largest universities in the world. IGNOU hosts the Secretariats of the SAARC Consortium on Open and Distance Learning (SACODL) and supported by UNESCO. IGNOU led its first Convocation in 1989. On 92nd Birth Anniversary of Smt. Indira Gandhi, the university completed its 25th years.

Courses being offered by IGNOU: Interested applicants are invited for the admission to Master of Education (M.Ed) which will be commencing from January 2011.

Eligibility required: The candidates aspiring for the admission must have B.Ed degree with minimum 55 % marks or equivalent grade on a five point scale from any recognized Indian or Foreign university.

How to apply : Candidates are requested to collect Handbook and Prospectus from all the Regional Centers or from the Registrar, Student

Registration Division, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Maidan Garhi, New Delhi , or by depositing Rs 200 via post by sending an IPO or Demand Draft of Rs 250 drawn in favour of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), payable at the city from where the prospectus and application form are required.

Completed application form should be submitted along with IPO or DD.
