The wicked of all frauds, a 43 years old Mark Shortland cheated people for a long time with a promise of a high class chauffeur job , has been sentenced to jail for three years.
The fake advertisement on well known job sites such as, Job Centre Plus, through which he cheated thousands of out of money and unemployed mass. Among them, 80 innocent people were deceived by this fraudster. To the female candidates the trickster claimed himself to be an Airline Pilot and made an estimated £ 100,000 from the scam. He had taken interview over the region of Liverpool, Luton, Manchestor and Castle Donnington and asked applicants for £ 100 as a depository amount for the keys of high ranged luxury cars which the successful applicants would be driving.
This fraudster promised the victims that they would be getting 3 custom made suits as their uniform, a cell-phone and a fuel card. Not only that, while interviewing Shortland informed his prospect victims that they could earn yearly £ 30,000 along with other facilities. He used to add that one could be a high class chauffeur like Simon Cowell.
Shortland who is originally from Sheffield will serve 3 years in jail for his crime, which is “the most wicked of frauds”, says Judge Alan Gioldsack. It is rightly considered to be the wicked of frauds as for a long period of time many unemployed people who had been cheated by him and waited with all of their hopes for the final call for the post of chauffeur transporting celebrities, which was never existed. Therefore the final verdict of the honorable judge is justified for this cunning trickster.
